Corporations Without Limit - Supreme Court Approves their Unlimited Spending in Elections Published: January 21, 2010
Unfortunately, I read the story attached to the link too late. It's worth a read to find out more reasons why the then case was bad. For-Profit Corporations or any other affinity group that they create and/or fund to thwart democracy should be limited in the amount of money they can spend to influence an election.
It is deeply troubling when a corporation wants to rule government. However, they would not return the favor and allow each citizen to become a board member. They don't want big government because they don't want to be regulated no matter whom they negatively affect. They would perfectly be happy to set up some speculative scheme or worse if given half a chance.
While supporters of this decision were only concerned about their own intentions, it never once dawned on them that this same decision could allow terrorists sway. With just the right slogan and funding they could dismantle government even more to make America more and more vulnerable. This is truly a sad day in American history.
Please spread the word about this event and SIGN THE PETITION to bring awareness to this issue. Dwight Howard (Baby Mama) Drama - She Said, He SuedPublished: December 28, 2009
Dwight WHO-ward? I didn't even know of this alleged public figure until HE sued Royce Reed this second time. He went from local recognition by some to national recognition by more with HIS tacky antics complaining about her PRIVATE account. NOW who's looking for celebrity!?!
That's right these two are BOTH tacky, immature, and seemingly self serving. The alleged Christian who fornicated, produced a child out of wedlock, who doesn't fully support his son emotionally and allegedly financially (nor the mother of his child) wants to act one way and have everyone say and believe another - is nothing more than a hypocrite.
The mother is a tacky, but at least she's not a hypocrite. She was a dancer when she met Who-ward and has the stereotypical dancer mentality allegedly now.
If she is so money and fame hungry, maybe he should allow Reed enough freedom to be on the NBA Wives show. This way she could use less of his money (which he seems to really only care about.) Oh wait, he not only cares about money, but the great Christian also likes to be spiteful for no reason.
If you love money so much Who-ward, consider how much more money you could make from endorsements. Think about the leading demographic for shopping whether it's for husbands, children, or themselves. Now think about what sort of person they would like to buy products from. If your son doesn't make you want to work things out with the mother, maybe you should consider behaving better for the endorsements.
It really irks me that he's trying to sue for all this money when he probably never gave her all that much money to begin with and when that's not even the root of the problem. They need private counseling, couples' therapy (yes there still some issues there,) and family counseling. If Who-ward wasn't busy playing in the field, and chose to toil the soil and tend to the vine - he would have realized the value of having sex with someone you respect, value, and cherish. He would have realized besides the lust, relationships require responsibility to the partner and to the future heirs. If you can't agree on how to run your lives before having sex and kids, you probably shouldn't be together.
Well the kid is born and all the tackiness needs to end. Work together for the betterment of the child. They are not the first couple to argue about how to raise a child, but the key to success is not a lawsuit. They need to come to a solution they BOTH agree upon.
Unfortunately for Reed, she may need to start with a better lawyer because the current injunction can have her sued for anything. Reed should be allowed some freedom of speech especially if she's speaking the truth.
Adam Lambert: I'm a 'Role Model' or a 'Nightmare' Published: November 25, 2009
To be honest, I didn't know who was what on that stage; they all seemed to have an intentional androgynous quality about them. I don't like overtly sexual performances in general, but I am also torn by the hypocrisy. There should have been more outrage all along when Madonna, Cristina, Britney, Janet, etc. seemingly simulated sex acts. The only thing outrageous about Adam's performance when compared to his precursors is the lack of creativity. Lady Gaga managed to push the envelope, be sexy, and be capture my attention. [BLEEP!] That hurts! Published: July 13, 2009
Apparently, some medical people believe cursing is not just a reaction but a mechanism to lessen pain. I believe cursing (when that pain initially hits you) is an automatic, therapeutic God given reflex. After a while the cursing is quieted because the pain is stopping, you have become better able to cope with it, or trying to cope by not focusing on the pain so much. However cursing for the initial pains is definitely a good release. PETA wishes Obama hadn't swatted that fly Published: June 18, 2009
I knew someone would get upset at killing a fly. I am compassionate, but I have my limits. Why should I catch and release a filthy beast just so it may return to contaminate my house? Heck, I think I killed or at least called for the death of that cockroach relaxing on the wall outside Hiro Ballroom for the Malibu Rum event. Technically speaking I might have been disrupting its home, but I don't care. It like the fly is not an endangered species and it spreads disease. Except the fly is the worse because it loves coprophagia; there is a reason people are grossed out by 2 girls 1 cup. Then to top it off the fly FLIES and touches everything else in sight. Thank you, Mr. President for quickly, efficiently killing that contaminate without any chemicals. Thank You.
Time Magazine's Different Covers of Michelle Obama
Published: May 31, 2009
Are my eyes playing tricks on me or do these covers look different? If so, why would they alter seemingly the same photo for different regions of the world? Sonia Sotomayor: President Obama's Qualified Supreme Court Nominee Published: May 26, 2009 as the President announced decision.
Judge Sotomayor has served as an assistant district attorney, appellate judqe, federal judge. Blah, blah, blah in total she has more experience than any of the justices serving now. She so happens to also be neutral as evidence by her appointments from both Democratic and Republican parties. She is seemingly an ideal nominee for this country as a whole, but why would Barack not go with someone just because they follow his beliefs or he just liked them? Trump: Miss California Carrie Prejean to Keep Her Crown Published: May 12, 2009I respect Mr. Trump's decision to allow Prejean her crown and not give into the witch hunt against her. The photos of her clad in lace panties were definitely provocative, yet ironically she was more covered up there than when she was during her bikini promenade. As for her unpopular opinion on gay marriage, she really shouldn't have been asked such a controversial question. There's a reason politics and religion were considered impolite dinner conversation. No answer she gave would have been without dissent; it's not like she could have responded with a stereotypically saccharine "I hope to plant flowers all over the world." Earth Day Petition Published: April 22, 2009
Right now, Congress is debating clean energy legislation that will jumpstart our economy and help solve the climate crisis. I've joined with Vice President Al Gore and millions of others to show my support -- will you?

Susan Boyle Gets a New Look Published: April 22, 2009
She doesn't need that much of a makeover; part of her charm is that she represents the average woman. I only support weight loss if it is for health reasons. Otherwise, she should limit herself to minor changes depending on the occasion. I like the way her hair looked in the CBS interview and that was just her hair set in larger curls. Maybe the next time she appears on Britain' Got Talent, she could add a little tint to her lips. When she performs in London's West End, she should mimic the look of the character she is portraying. Her album cover should have full on glamorous hair and makeup with a visually stimulating outfit. Walgreens pulls Obama Chia Pet after complaints Published: April 22, 2009
I am all for free commerce and respect that anything Obama related will raise interest, but this product is just not that enticing. Now a Chia ZZ Top is something totally different. Somali pirate arrives in NYC, awaits court hearing Published: April 21, 2009 Why is this toy soldier alleged pirate suspect laughing on his way to arraignment? The last time an African got a free boat ride to America it didn't end up so well. Support the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act Published: April 16, 2009
Please Help. Our children deserve to enjoy one of the first levels of Maslow's hierarchy of needs: safety. This act serves to protect children from sexual predation, but this act could die without your support. In Minnesota, a Battle Without End for a Senate Seat Published: April 15, 2009 I can't believe this is still going on; don't the people of MN need a senator? It's almost six months and they are still disputing this; I wouldn't be surprised if they kept this up for six years if they could. Back in 2000, Republicans wanted the Democrats to acquiesce; it's time to return the favor. Heroin Hidden in Chocolate at Airport
Published: April 15, 2009Definitely using this headline to explain my chocolate addiction. Never mind that it's not one of the brands I consume or that it wasn't even mixed in the chocolate bar. | |
